Seeking advice on cloud certifications for a career pivot into cloud architecture roles.

For job volume, AWS is still the undisputed king. Most startups and large enterprises are built on it, so an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate is the gold standard for your resume. However, be prepared for a steep learning curve. AWS has over 200 services, and the naming conventions aren't always intuitive. If you want a more "guided" experience, Azure is a close second and is booming in the enterprise space because of its deep integration with Microsoft 365. If you want a job quickly, look at what the local companies in your area are hiring for first.

• I’ve poked around the AWS console, Ryan, and it felt like a cockpit of a 747! I’ll definitely take your advice and try the Azure sandbox this weekend. I’ve heard their "Cloud Shell" is a bit more beginner-friendly for those of us coming from a desktop support background where we are used to GUI-based management tools alongside our scripting.

Don't sleep on GCP. While they have less market share, the demand for GCP-certified pros in AI and Data Science is massive right now and pays very well.

• Exactly, Brandon. I switched to GCP last year and found that because there are fewer "experts," the salary ceiling actually felt a bit higher for entry-level roles.
