How do I manage version control and app updates in a Low-Code environment?

Modern LCNC platforms have built-in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) features. In Power Apps, for example, you should use "Solutions" to package your apps and flows. This allows you to export your work from a "Development" environment and import it into a "Production" environment only after it passes testing. Most platforms also automatically save "Versions" every time you publish. If an update fails, you can go into the settings and "Restore" a previous version with one click. Just remember that rolling back an app's UI doesn't always roll back the data in the database, so always back up your data tables before a major structural change.

• Robert, I haven't done that yet, but it’s a smart move. I usually just test it myself, but I often miss things that the actual end-users do differently. I’m going to create a "Beta" version of the app and invite two of my colleagues to try to "break it" next week. This will give me a lot more confidence before the official Version 2.0 release. It also helps with user adoption because they feel involved in the development process from the start.

Document your changes! Keep a simple log of what you changed in each version so that if something breaks, you know exactly which logic block to investigate first.
