• Patrick, it’s definitely a mix of both. I see staff using personal Dropbox accounts because it’s "easier," which is a nightmare for data governance. We’ve started a monthly "Security Lunch & Learn" to explain why we use specific vetted tools. It’s helped reduce the use of Shadow IT by about 60% because people finally understand the "why" behind the strict rules we are trying to implement.

• Spot on, Melissa. An MSP was our savior during a DDoS attempt last year. They had the tools to mitigate the traffic that we simply couldn't afford to buy ourselves.
