Is it worth adopting Test-Driven Development (TDD) for small teams?

Jessica, it definitely feels slower at first because you’re forced to think about edge cases before you even start coding. However, TDD pays for itself during the refactoring stage. When you have a suite of tests that pass, you can change the underlying code with total confidence that you haven't broken existing functionality. For a startup, this "safety net" allows you to pivot and change features much faster without the fear of a total system collapse. It also acts as "living documentation"—if a new developer joins the team, they can look at the tests to understand exactly how the system is supposed to behave.

TDD isn't an all-or-nothing thing. You can start by applying it only to your core business logic while using traditional testing for the UI components.
