It doesn't understand business logic or the creative ways a human can chain three minor bugs together to gain full administrative access. In 2026, the job is shifting: Ethical Hackers now use AI to automate the boring parts of reconnaissance, allowing them to focus on the high-level strategy and complex social engineering that machines still can't replicate. You need to learn how to "hack with AI" to stay competitive.

• Absolutely, Kevin! "AI Red Teaming" is one of the fastest-growing niches in 2026. Companies are terrified that their internal LLMs might leak sensitive data through prompt injection. Learning how to secure the AI pipeline—from the training data to the final model output—is a specialized skill that is currently in extremely high demand and commands very high salaries. It’s definitely a path I’d recommend looking into once you have the security basics down.

The "Human Factor" will always be the biggest vulnerability. No AI can perfectly simulate a targeted spear-phishing attack against a specific executive as well as a skilled human can.
