How do I create a content marketing strategy that actually drives high-quality leads?
We are producing a lot of blog posts and videos, but our conversion rate remains disappointingly low. How can we shift our content marketing strategy from just generating "brand awareness" to actually capturing qualified leads that the sales team can work with? What are the missing links in our current funnel?

All answers to this question.
To drive leads, you must align your content with the "Buyer’s Journey." Most companies focus too much on Top-of-Funnel (ToFu) awareness content. You need to create Middle-of-Funnel (MoFu) content like case studies, webinars, and comparison guides that address specific pain points. Ensure every piece of content has a clear, compelling Call to Action (CTA) and a lead magnet, such as a whitepaper or template, behind a high-converting landing page. By mapping your content to intent-based keywords rather than just high-volume ones, you’ll attract users who are actually ready to enter your sales pipeline.

The funnel alignment is key, but are you currently using a Marketing Automation platform to nurture these leads once they download your MoFu assets? How are you distinguishing between a Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) and someone who is just "kicking the tires" and downloading free resources with no intent to buy?

Matthew, we just started using HubSpot for lead scoring. We assign points based on asset type; a case study download gets more points than a blog subscription. This helps our sales team prioritize their outreach based on the lead's engagement level, which has already improved our lead-to-opportunity ratio significantly.

You should also look into "Content Pillar" pages. By creating one authoritative guide on a core topic and linking it to smaller sub-topics, you drastically improve your SEO authority and keep users on your site longer.

I agree with Joshua. Building out a topic cluster for our SEO services helped us rank on the first page for five major keywords in just three months. It’s a powerful way to demonstrate thought leadership.
