A certification is a signal that you have the vocabulary, but in 2023 and 2024, the hiring bar has moved toward demonstrating practical, applied knowledge in automated workflows.

These industries often value certifications more than a startup might, provided you can explain how your skills solve their specific legacy migration problems. Don't limit your search to just the household names; the "hidden" market is where the certs carry more weight.

It's an ATS problem too. If your resume isn't optimized with the right keywords alongside those certs, a human might never even see your application to begin with.
