• Ryan, I'm aiming for a Senior Project Manager role first, but I'd like to keep the door open for Product Management. I’ve noticed that Product roles seem to value the CSM or CSPO more. However, for the high-level PMO roles, PMP seems to be the recurring requirement in job descriptions. I think I’ll start with the PMP to build a solid foundational "wall" of credibility and then specialize later. It seems like the safer bet for long-term career stability in this economy.

The PMP is great for salary negotiation. Statistics consistently show that PMP-certified managers earn significantly more than their non-certified peers across almost every single industry.
