Is LinkedIn still the best platform for B2B social media marketing success?
Our B2B lead generation on Facebook has completely dried up, and we are thinking of moving our entire budget to LinkedIn. Given the high CPC (Cost Per Click) on LinkedIn, is it still the most effective channel for reaching C-suite executives, or are platforms like X (formerly Twitter) catching up with their new premium features?

All answers to this question.
LinkedIn is still king for B2B, but you have to change your approach. Direct "Salesy" ads are being ignored. Thought leadership from your CEO’s personal profile actually performs 10x better than company page posts. We use LinkedIn’s "Thought Leader Ads" to promote our executives' posts, and the conversion rate on our whitepapers has doubled. The high CPC is worth it because the intent is much higher; someone on LinkedIn is in a "work mindset," unlike someone scrolling through memes on Facebook.

Have you tried using LinkedIn's "Conversation Ads" for direct outreach, or do you find them to be too intrusive for a high-level executive audience?

Joseph, we found Conversation Ads work only if the offer is extremely high-value, like a VIP invite to a webinar. For general awareness, they feel a bit like "InMail spam" and can actually hurt the brand if not handled delicately.

Don't sleep on LinkedIn Newsletters. They are a fantastic way to build a recurring audience that you actually own, rather than being at the mercy of the feed algorithm.

I second that! Our LinkedIn Newsletter has become our biggest driver of webinar registrations over the last six months.
