  • What are the requirements for the Yellow Belt certification?
    There are almost no entry barriers. You don’t need specific work experience, projects, or degrees. ASQ, IASSC, and CSSC let anyone take the test. While some recommend training, only AIGPE requires it.

  • How much is the six sigma yellow belt certification cost?
    The six sigma yellow belt certification cost depends on the provider. CSSC is 99 USD, IASSC is 250 USD, and ASQ is 347 USD for members (522 USD for non-members).

  • How long is the exam and how many questions are there?
    IASSC has 60 questions (2 hours). ASQ has 90 questions (2 hours 18 minutes). CSSC has 50 questions (1 hour).

  • What score do I need to pass?
    CSSC and IASSC require 70%. ASQ uses a secret scaled scoring system. Our training aims for 80% to ensure you pass despite any test anxiety.

  • Can I take the exam from home?
    Yes, all major bodies allow online proctoring. IASSC also has a large network of testing centers. CSSC is strictly online.

  • What if I fail the test?
    You usually have to pay the fee again. IASSC is 250 USD per try. CSSC gives 3 tries for the initial 99 USD. If you fail after our course, we provide free coaching until you pass.

  • How long does my certification last?
    CSSC never expires. IASSC is "Current" for 3 years, then becomes permanent. ASQ lasts 3 years and needs renewal.

  • What materials should I study?
    Most bodies point to their "Body of Knowledge." ASQ sells books; CSSC has free guides. We combine all requirements into one course so you don't have to search through mixed info.

  • Is work experience needed to keep my belt?
    No. Unlike Green or Black Belts, Yellow Belts don't need to document work hours or education credits to stay certified.

  • Is the exam open-book?
    ASQ and CSSC are open-book. IASSC is closed-book. Our training prepares you for both by focusing on understanding the concepts.

  • What topics are on the six sigma yellow belt certification exam?
    All bodies test the DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. While the depth varies, the framework is the same.
