Six Sigma Fundamentals & Define Phase
Lesson 1: Six Sigma & Lean Basics: Learn what Six Sigma really is, its history, and the math behind 3.4 defects per million. Understand how Lean and Six Sigma work together to reduce variation and waste.
Lesson 2: Roles and Structure: Understand the hierarchy of Yellow, Green, Black, and Master Black Belts. Learn how Yellow Belts support big projects and lead small ones to improve their six sigma yellow belt salary.
Lesson 3: Project Selection and Define Tools: Master the start of DMAIC by creating charters, defining problems, using SIPOC to find stakeholders, and setting project scopes. Learn to turn the "Voice of the Customer" into measurable quality traits.
Measure Phase Fundamentals
Lesson 1: Documentation and Mapping: Use flowcharts, value stream maps, and swim lane diagrams to find hidden delays and waste in any process.
Lesson 2: Sampling and Data Collection: Learn to use data rather than opinions. Design data collection plans and understand the difference between discrete and continuous data.
Lesson 3: Measurement System Analysis (MSA): Learn to check your data's accuracy before using it. Understand Gage R&R, precision, and stability to ensure measurement errors aren't hiding true problems.
Analyze Phase & Root Cause Identification
Lesson 1: Visualization and Statistics: Go beyond simple averages. Learn to calculate standard deviation, variance, and mean. Master box plots, histograms, and scatter diagrams to see patterns in data.
Lesson 2: Analyzing Process Capability: Determine if your process can meet customer needs by calculating Cpk, Cp, Ppk, and Pp. Understand what "six sigma quality" means in a real-world context.
Lesson 3: Finding Root Causes: Master Fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts, and the 5 Whys. Learn how to lead sessions that find actual causes rather than just symptoms.
Improve Phase & Solution Implementation
Lesson 1: The 8 Lean Wastes: Systematically find and remove "DOWNTIME" (Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, etc.) in any business process.
Lesson 2: Rapid Improvement and Kaizen: Learn to lead quick Kaizen events that show results in days. Master visual management and 5S workplace organization.
Lesson 3: Selecting Solutions: Use structured brainstorming and decision matrices to find and evaluate improvement ideas based on impact and cost.
Control Phase & Exam Preparation
Lesson 1: Mistake-Proofing and Control Plans: Create plans to make sure improvements last. Master poka-yoke techniques to stop errors before they happen.
Lesson 2: SPC Basics: Monitor your process with control charts. Learn to tell the difference between special and common cause variation using X-bar and R charts.
Lesson 3: Final Readiness: Review all DMAIC phases, finish practice tests for ASQ, IASSC, or CSSC, and prepare for your exam with confidence.
